The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) had developed training modules to train health professionals on how to implement new standards that support: transitions of care, lab exchange, patient engagement, and public health measures. During this course, you will complete web based training courses on these four areas to be better equipped as an administrator, clinician or support staff to assist providers and hospitals in meeting meaningful use (MU) objectives.

The courses provide real-world examples and a story-based approach to highlight the interoperability of electronic health record (EHR) standards in the key areas mentioned.

Complete the following five modules:

Interoperability Path to Meaningful Use
Building Blocks of Interoperability
The Effect of Interoperability of Categories of Care
For each module (5 total), complete the post module quiz, screen shot the quizzes, and paste them into a document that you will submit. In addition, give a specific example from a story mentioned during the training of how an EHR either benefited or compromised a patient’s health access.
