Historically, behavioral research was conducted with minimal ethnic, gender, ability, age and cultural diversity.
For example, Bandura, Ross, and Ross (1961) used primarily white children from an affluent community in their study, from which the results of this study can only be generalized to the narrow population of children similar to those who participated in the research. However, over the course of the last several years, the field of behavioral research has sought to expand cultural, gender, ethnic, racial, and ability diversity when it comes to research questions and participants. With this in mind, examine research studies that include diversity as part of their research methodology.

For this assignment, you find THREE peer-reviewed research articles that are based on at least one of the constructs of Bandura, Ross, and Ross’s (1961) original study – namely social modeling, imitative learning, and aggressive behavior- and have been conducted with diversity as a part of the methodology. For example, cultural diversity can include, but is not limited to: ethnicity, gender, disabilities or differing ability levels, socioeconomic status, geographical location, or age.
You will then create a PowerPoint for your classmates as the target audience.
Important: For each slide, you must include speakers notes. The speaker notes are used to show how you would give your presentation if it were live. In other words, this is the presentation you would give if it were before a live audience.

For each article: Summarize the methodology of the study and explain how the researchers conducted their study. (Keep in mind, this information on your PowerPoint MUST be in your own words; do not merely copy the information from the article; rather; paraphrase with your own words). Be sure to include the cultural diversity component the researchers were examining (age, gender, country, race, ethnicity and so on). Summarize the results of the study and describe the findings of the research.
Identify how the study considers cultural factors under the overarching constructs of social modeling, imitative learning, and/or aggressive behaviors. Then explain the population to which the findings can be generalized and why generalizability is important when considering other cultures, ethnicities, age, gender etc. End your PowerPoint with your perspective about cultural diversity in behavioral research. Explain how easy or difficult it was to find these articles, and why it is important to consider cultural factors in behavioral research in general.
Describe what you would suggest as a future direction of cultural factors in behavioral research. For example, identify one research question or area of interest where you would like to see more cultural diversity (it does not have to be related to social modeling, imitative learning, or aggressive behavior).
