Describe the three criteria for evaluating effective team/group work (as stated in the textbook) and use the criteria to analyze the effectiveness of the team.
Review each of the five stages of group formation. Determine what stage(s) are evident in the case and provide a justification of your response.
Apply Schein’s three behavioral profiles to specific members of the team. Identify how the profiles are demonstrated in the case.
Evaluate whether the communication among the participants in the case was effective or not. Justify your answer by considering any existing barriers to communication.
Review the two main types of conflicts described in the textbook. Explain how each type of conflict is evident in the case.
Propose how Denson should resolve the conflict in this case using one direct conflict management approach. Justify your response as to why this is the most realistic direct conflict management approach given the existing dynamics between and among team members.
Identify one specific leadership activity and one specific maintenance activity that should be encouraged. Identify the most significant disruptive behavior that should be discouraged.
Identify a significant motivational problem experienced by each individual: Jing, Mahonney, and Tanney. Describe how Denson should motivate each person. Be sure to provide a specific motivational suggestion for each person based on their motivational needs. Ensure that you have at least one suggestion from each of the motivational theory/techniques: content theories, process theories, and reinforcement strategies.

The literature review section is an integral part of dissertation writing and involves referencing peer-reviewed articles to support or disclaim current academic work. The source and credibility of referenced materials are important to the acceptability of published academic articles and the validation of research results and conclusions. With the proliferation of the internet in the twenty-first century, more reliance has been placed by academicians on electronic sources of information for research work (Kibirige & DePalo, 2017). In searching the internet for credible content, academic researchers desire “accessibility, timeliness, readability, relevance and authority” (Kibirige & DePalo, 2017, p11). While accessibility, timeliness, and readability can be assured by the internet, contents that meet the relevance and authority elements require diligence to identify.
Journals and other publications by the American Psychological Association, APA, are sources that meet the relevance and authority criteria. They provide a rich source of peer-reviewed content that could be accessed and referenced by researchers. The APA website (https://apa.org) provides access to databases, digital learning resources, magazines, reports, books, and peer-reviewed journals “spanning the breadth and depth of psychology” (APA, 2022). The journals can be searched by title or by subject.
In searching the APA website for articles that closely match my proposed dissertation area, I used the “Browse Journals” tab to access the APA and affiliated journals page and then browsed the journals by subject, focusing on the subjects relating to my dissertation area. I was astonished by the large number of articles that I could use for my literature review and other sections of my work. One great feature of the APA website is that articles can be sourced by the most downloaded and most cited, making it easy to identify articles that have wider acceptability.
This is my first time utilizing this resource and I am happy to explore its richness.

Case Study
HH is a 68 yo M who has been admitted to the medical ward with community-acquired pneumonia for the past 3 days. His PMH is significant for COPD, HTN, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes.
He remains on empiric antibiotics, which include ceftriaxone 1 g IV qday (day 3) and azithromycin 500 mg IV qday (day 3).
Since admission, his clinical status has improved, with decreased oxygen requirements. He is not tolerating a diet at this time with complaints of nausea and vomiting.
Ht: 5’8” Wt: 89 kg (196 pounds)
Allergies: Penicillin (delayed, rash)

Facilitator/Faculty Tips to do well:

NEED SUBSTANTIVE DISCUSSION.
Discuss very briefly any pharmacological intervention patient is presently on for COPD, HTN, hyperlipidemia & diabetes. Just one or two lines each on what would be drugs used, pharmacological relevance on treating these diseases.
Thoroughly discuss the anti-infective drugs used for for treating the infection Community Acquired Pneumonia (pharmacology to include mechanism of action, therapeutic effects, adverse effects, kinetics etc.).

Is the current empiric therapy based on any guidelines?
If allergic to penicillin, why was ceftriaxone given, which is another beta-lactam antibiotic (a cephalosporin which is also a beta lactam antibiotic)?

If penicillin allergy was immediate type, what are the alternate options for treating CAP? (tips: Doxycycline? Levofloxacin?)

Need a thorough discussion on a case like this on ADVANCED PHARMACOLOGY, CLINICIAN LEVEL.
USE PEER REVIEWED SCHOLARLY, US BASED, CURRENT, PRIMARY SOURCE, CLINICIAN BASED (NOT PATIENT BASED) REFERENCES.
